To her surprise, she’s met by a declaration of innocence and an offer of help. She doesn’t trust him, and he doesn’t trust anybody. But they need each other to catch the killer and beat their enemies to a hidden cache of Aztec gold.

They’re not the only treasure-seekers, however, and there’s a traitor in their midst.

Caught between Crown ships and enemy pirates, Sarina and Jack discover a prize greater than gold as their uneasy alliance leads them on the adventure of a lifetime.

Aye Aye Cap'n!!

This tale is quite the adventure. Following the diary of another looking for treasure. Competing for the prize against others, both good and evil. It is so funny, I was laughing many times. There is bloodshed, but any good pirate story will have a sword fight to the death. The story takes place in the 1700s, so no graphic sex, I would let my young adult daughter read this at 12 or 13. And now a bit about the story... Sarina is out for revenge. She will avenge her father's death if it the last thing she does. Tremayne is out for treasure and he is searching for Mellick's gold. When the two cross paths I think the story is about to end before it gets started, but with a little trust and lots of honesty, the two may be able to with together to both get what they want!! Favorite passages: - “Very well. What are your demands?” Sarina inhaled deeply. “First of all, I sleep in the bed.” Jonathan snorted. “Now who’s being forward?” - “Don’t test me, wench. You. Will. Lose.” - “His life is the sea and all that rubbish. There’s no place for someone like me.” - “If I knew it would get you to stop talking, I might have told you sooner.”
