Blurb:
Drama. Lies. Sex.

Welcome to Palm South University.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

Except:

After I finish my first drink and order another, I wander up to the group of guys at the pool table. We play for a little over an hour, drawing an even larger crowd because – clearly – we’re the most fun this joint has seen in a while. I’m cozied up and working on one of the hottest guys in the group when he informs me he has a fiancé.

Wow.

Buzz Killington, ladies and gentlemen.

I hang out with the group a little longer, hoping to move on to a new prospect, but they all head out before I have a chance to seal the deal with any of Mr. I’m-Engaged-But-You-Don’t-Need-To-Know-That-Until-It’s-Clear-You-Expect-To-Sleep-With-Me’s friends. Sighing, I take my place in the same barstool as before and Jarrett slides a fifth drink my way.

I hold up my hands. “I should probably say no this time. It’s almost closing time and I need to drive.”

“Not necessarily,” he offers. I eye him curiously and the corner of his mouth pulls up mischievously. He finishes wiping down a glass and hangs it above his head before leaning across the bar, his minty breath tickling my drunken senses. “You’ve been trying all night to get with that douchebag when I could have told you from the beginning that he wasn’t available. And now, you’re left with an ache between your legs that you don’t want to take care of on your own. So yes, you could drive home, get up and go to work tomorrow and just try again another night. Or,” he pauses, licking his bottom lip and dragging his teeth across the top as his eyes fall to my mouth. “You could give me your keys, jump in my truck, and let me take you back to my place so I can cure you of your current situation.”

Oh hell to the fucking yes.

Keeping my eyes locked on his, I fish my keys from my purse and drop them on the counter, cocking a brow. Jarrett bites his lip as he grabs the keys and shoves them in his pocket.

“Give me five.”

Four and a half minutes later, we’re tangled up in the back seat of his truck. I run my hands down his incredibly cut abdomen and lift his shirt up and over his head as he pulls the straps of my dress down over my shoulders. His lips are hard on mine and his hands run the length of my body until they grip my hips so hard I’m not sure if I should cry out in pain or pleasure.

“Are you sure you don’t want to go back to my place?” he pants, kissing down my neck. My eyes roll back and a moan escapes my lips.

“I think I’d rather see how all that talk holds up in the back of a truck.”

I HEART BOOKS REVIEW

Palm South University Season One Box Set by Kandi Steiner
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: 5

Parties, Drinking, Boys, Friends, and repeat ... wait did I say boys?

Whether you have read Black Number Four or not, you will love this. But if you are a #BN4 fan it is awesome. Timing wise it starts before #BN4, with Cassie pledging sororities. There are two points of view to show you both sides of Greek life. I enjoyed it, it reminded me a little of the tv show Greek which I loved! And now a bit about the story...

Cassie is new to Palm South University and she is checking out Greek row with her high school best friend. Bear is struggling to deal with his less than perfect family. Skylar is on the scene interacting with both. And let's not forget the hot scene Jess stars in ;)

Favorite passages:
- I’m wondering if this was the right choice. This campus is crawling with walking, talking Barbies.
- “Parties, boys, lavish events, boys, study groups, boys. Need I say more?”
- Thank God I have my fraternity brothers. Real families are a disappointment.
- “Why, whatever were we thinking, Cassie?” I find my voice and try to keep up with the banter. “We’re not being very ladylike, at all!”

Episode 2

Distractions... Distractions...

The PSU season continues...school is in session, there are parties and more boys. There are a few surprises in store for the Greeks at PSU. And even a few secrets! Can't wait for them to be revealed!!

Favorite passage:
- “Yeah, enough of this girly talking shit. I need tequila.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Episode 3

Fun... girls just wanna have it!

Loved this episode! We found out Ashlei's secret. Adam pulled off an awesome Alpha Sigma event. Cassie was pinned and then startled by her Big.

Favorite passages:
- “You may not want me to be, but I’m still your president . And I can have you kicked out of this fraternity faster than you come in bed.”
- “Okay, you have two minutes to get him dressed and out of here.”“Um,” she pauses, looking to the guy. “Could we maybe get like five?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Episode 4

Good girls gone bad...

This episode focuses in on Cassie, Skylar, Jess as the Halloween party approaches. All three do something to surprise us add reminding you of how easy it was to be carefree in college.

Favorite passages:
- “Don’t act like you’re not still attracted to me. Don’t act like you don’t watch me every class. Don’t act like you don’t have the same things going through your mind that I do right now.”
- “It doesn’t piss me off, it doesn’t make me hate you – it only makes me want you more.”
- Everyone feels like they can hide behind a mask or a costume, but in the morning , they still wake up as the person beneath the mask.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Episode 5

Shut up and Dance!!

It's semi formal time and many of those secrets are gonna come out! Almost everyone had a voice this episode ;) Ashlei and Bear share their secrets, Jess admits defeat on more than one front, and then there is Adam... he can't figure out which head to use when it comes to Cassie.

Favorite passages:
- “It just takes time. You’ll get there,”
- “Hey ! I have a temporary fix. Come to semi-formal with me this weekend.” I’m pretty sure I look at her as if she just sprouted a dick on her face because she instantly clarifies.
- “But I like you better when you’re bad.”
- “Bear, hear me out.”“No! First of all, who even has checks anymore?”
- “Yeah. I want to dance.”“Well, it is your ball, princess.”

Episode 6

Fall complications...

It's the morning after semi formal, do you know whose in your bed ;) Great finale for season one including Thanksgiving and finals ... the first season and semester come to an end with a splash! Decisions are mostly made, Finals are complete, Regrets are shared and maybe carried a little too far...

Favorite passages:
- What is Bear’s major? Football? Beer? Mind-blowing Sex?
- “It’s okay, Bear. No need to prove to us how big your… trust fund is.”
- “You were right,” I whisper. ... “I wish I wasn’t.”
- How did I end up here? How did I land myself in this shithole? And what the hell do I do now?

Author Info:

Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.

Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).

When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
